ModernBeats.com has expanded upon their Ethnic Percussion sound library by debuting "Ethnic Percussion Loopz", a new loop collection available as both a multi-format download or CD-ROM.

"Ethnic Percussion Loopz" consists of live recorded performance loops of 21 diverse ethnic percussion instruments, categorized according to popular hip hop tempos. While the loopset focuses more towards Hip Hop production, its performance styles remain versatile enough to incorporate into musical genres such as dance, drum n bass, latin, and rock.

The Loopset is sold as a multi-format product for all major software/hardware samplers and for virtually all audio/midi software such as Cubase, Reason, Sonar, Pro Tools, Acid Pro, FruityLoops, and more. Formats include acidized .WAV, REX2 (Reason's Dr. Rex), and SF2 Soundfont accompanied with MIDI files.

The multi-format Loopset contains 288 versatile loops as acidized .WAV files, 72 loops as REX2 files, and 72 loops as SF2 + MIDI files. A full list of the ethnic percussion instruments used includes: Agogo Bell, Berimbau, Cabasa, Cajon, Chaker, Chime, Congas, Cowbell Clave, Djembe, Doumbek, Gankogui, Guiro, NuBellTree, Pandeiro, Rainstick, SleighBell, TalkingDrum, Timbale, Tombek, Triangle, and the Udu.

Acidized WAV users can take advantage of any of the 4 hip hop tempos provided while selecting from 72 different loop rhythms. Software sampler users can load any of the 72 rhythm SF2 presets and have full control over the rhythm with the accompanied 72 MIDI files. Fans of Reason's Dr. Rex can quickly load REX2 loops, easily alter a slice's pitch, and sync up ethnic percussion loops at any tempo. In addition, both software sampler users and Reason Dr.Rex users can easily manipulate the original loop rhythms by rearranging loop slice points.

All percussion loops were created from original recordings of percussionists using Class A mic preamps and edited with sample accurate start/end points by ModernBeats sound designers.

"Ethnic Percussion Loopz" is available for download for $59.95, or can be ordered on CD-ROM.
