The S1000 Real Rhodes sample CD is the latest release from Emmy nominated audio engineer Park Peters and fellow programmer Peter Schouten. The idea for this sample library was to provide quality samples in the most universal format possible. The S1000 version makes this sample library of classic keyboard instruments available for quick importing to musicians who are working with popular soft samplers such as Native Instruments Kontakt and Propellerheads Reason as well as E-mu hardware samplers.
The library features several different model Fender Rhodes, DX7 Rhodes, Wurlitzer, Hohner Clavinet, and Pianet. Amped versions (sampled from a miced speaker cabinet) are included as well for a "live" sound. Of special note are hard-to-find, older vintage Fender Rhodes and a perfectly calibrated Dyno Rhodes.
Other formats of Real Rhodes are now available: Akai S2000, Akai S5000/6000, Kurzweil K2000, K2VP/K2VX, and K2500/2600 with KDFX. All are native CD ROMs with fully keymapped and velocity switched sounds and use the different samplers'proprietary effects engines.
Suggested retail price: $139.00. A Holiday sale is expected as well.
