uk-music has updated the UKAS virtual synthesizer, a classic style synth for Windows that combines various synthesis concepts (subtractive, basic additive and FM(PM) ).

Changes since version 1.1 include:

  • New FM modes (8 algorithms with up to 5 operators) in addition to the additive and subtractive mode
  • Improved voice manager (including mono mode)
  • Fine tuning of the filter parameters
  • New GUI
  • A problem with MIDI program changes and VST automation hase been fixed
  • The name of preset 128 from an external loaded soundbank (fxb file) was not updated - fixed; conclusion: New versions of the three soundbanks and the empty soundbank will be provided. Fxp files work fine; if you load a fxp that was created with an earlier version of UKAS it is recommended to save it first with the new version.
  • Third soundbank featuring the new algorithms (now more than 400 sounds available)
  • New manual
